Preamble

In terms of the South African School Act. the governing body of every public school must adopt a code of conduct after consultation with learners, parents and educators in the school.

• The personal appearance and dress of learners must be according to the norms generally accepted by the community served by the school. 

• Learners must attend school for the full academic year. 

• They may not leave the school premises without permission of the principal or any other person of authority. 

• Absent learners are required to obey the reasonable instruction of the staff. 

• A learner may not damage the physical welfare of others. 

• Learners may not be in possession if any weapons or implements which can cause bodily harm.

• School property or the property of others, may not be taken, damaged, defaced or polluted. 

• Learners must participate in all educational programms prescribed by the education department, unless exemption has been granted by the department. 

• Learners may not use the school facilities or equipment after hours without the principals permission.

• Learners may not bring discredit to the name of the school in any way. 

• Learners may not sexually harass, bully, fight with or tease otherlearners or any other member of the school.

• No discrimination by virtue of colour, gender, race, disability or HIV status will be allowed.

The school follows a Point discipline system and all learners committing misconduct accordikng to school and class rules will be held accountable on this system.
